Automation of polish evaluation
Goal
The objective of this project is the automation of polish evaluation. Next
to the evaluation of polish lines also a range of other surface
defects needs to be detected.
Description
The polish grading is done by hand with the aid of a loupe or
microscope. Because of the nature of the defects it happens that
some are not clearly visible to the grader. This can lead to
inconsistency in the polish grading. Intelligent automation can
provide accurate and consistent information on the polish grade.
